Info text

A High Baroque palace built in the early 18th century passed into the ownership of the old noble family of Kaunic in the year of 1861. The palace building was modified several times during the 19th century and currently is home to the permanent exhibition of Alfons Mucha´s work, painter and leading representative

of the Art Nouveau movement. There is particular attention paid to his Paris period and his set of posters for the theatre star Sarah Bernhardt. The exhibition shows Mucha's studio with its original furniture, photographs of his family, and a set of studio photographs taken by Mucha in Paris.
