Description

Between 1910 and 1912, sculptor Josef Václav Myslbek created the bronze monument to the poet Karel Hynek Mácha. The monument was placed on the Petřín Hill, which was already a favourite

place to go for walks or even for lovers. This famous poet was born in nearby Újezd beneath the Petřín Park. The statue represents immortal youth, which Mácha epitomized.
