The hotel building was completed during the years of 1968 to 1974 according to the project of architects Karel Bubeníček and Karel Filsak. The extensive structure made of plain concrete
and glass bands of windows with ceramic veneers is one of the few showpieces of an architectural style in the center of historical Prague, the style known as Brutalism.
