Description
The Municipal Library was built on the Mariánské Square and it was an expression of the humanistic ideas of independent Czechoslovakia. The Neo-Classicism style was chosen by architect František Roith, and it was the most-suitable
style to accomplish this objective. The building was finished in 1929. In addition to the library services, it offers a spacious lecture hall, an exhibition hall of the City of Prague Gallery and a puppet show.
