The municipal park measuring about 11 hectares was created in 1902 through connecting several historical gardens. It was named in honor of František Ladislav Riegr, a renowned Bohemian
National-Revival politician of the 19th century. The park features extensive lawns and popular garden restaurants. There is an impressive view of the Prague Castle from the park.
